What do the young People want? We at Malaika Foundation say- To vacate the waiting room and to bear their own weight and take agency for ensuring that we all become champions for a better society. In this approach, education is linked to acquisition of cognatic literacy as well as citizenship skills that include values such as human dignity, human rights, social justice, utu, non-discrimination, accountability, democracy, cohesion and sharing of resources. These were the subjects of training of the Young Democrats in September 2013 in Siaya County.
